Podľa literárnych údajov patrí výskyt epileptických záchvatov medzi významné prejavy funkčnej poruchy a poškodenia centrálného nervového systému (CNS) u akútnej intermitentnej porfýrie (AIP). Podarilo sa nám zozbierať literárne údaje o tridsiatich prípadoch výskytu epileptických záchvatov u pacientov s akútnou intermitentnou porfýriou. Súbor sme rozdelili do troch skupín, podľa možnej kauzálnej súvislosti epilepsie s AIP: skupina s nepravdepodobnou, možnou a istou súvislosťou medzi oboma skupinami ochorení.

Klúčové slová: epilepsia, akutná intermitentná porfýria, antiepileptika.
