Disekce magistrálních cerebrálních tepen jako jedna z možných příčin ložiskové ischemie mozku je stále podceňována. Autoři prezentují případ 34letého muže s drobnoložiskovým cerebrálním postižením. Rozvoj klinické symptomatiky bezprostředně souvisel s mobilizací krční páteře. Magnetická rezonance (MRI) a cerebrální angiografie verifikovala klinickou úvahu o disekci vertebrální arterie, která byla zdrojem mikroembolizace v zadní mozkové cirkulaci.

V práci je diskutována etiologie, klinická manifestace a diagnostika tepenné disekce.
