Nitrolební hypertenze je jedním z nejdůležitějších patofyziologických mechanizmů, zásadně ovlivňujících prognózu pacienta po poranění mozku. Ovlivnění nitrolební hypertenze je proto důležitým pilířem našeho terapeutického úsilí u těchto pacientů. V současnosti si díky existenci mezinárodních standardů zainteresovaná odborná veřejnost relativně dobře ujasnila priority a konkrétní kroky tohoto postupu. Článek si klade za cíl přehledně informovat o možnostech konzervativní léčby poúrazové nitrolební hypertenze tak, aby těchto poznatků mohli využít neurologové i praktičtí lékaři, kteří se mohou kdykoliv s pacientem po těžkém poranění hlavy setkat ve své praxi.
