Autoři popisují oční i neurologický nález u 68leté neobézní pacientky s pseudotumorem mozku. Pro rozvíjející se městnání na očním pozadí spojené se snížením vizu a výpadky zorného pole indikovali urgentní chirurgickou léčbu - lumboperitoneální shunt, po kterém i přes atrofii papil došlo k zachování vizu a ke zlepšení citlivosti zorného pole. V diskuzi uvádějí současné názory na možné příčiny a léčebné postupy idiopatické intrakraniální hypertenze.
